The Raleigh-Egypt Pharaohs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. The game between Raleigh-Egypt and Evansville Memorial wasn't particularly close, with Raleigh-Egypt falling 77-61. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
It was another big night for Tucker Tornatta, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 14 rebounds for Evansville Memorial. Tornatta continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Luke Ellspermann was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with six assists.
Raleigh-Egypt's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Evansville Memorial, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Raleigh-Egypt will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Craigmont at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Evansville Memorial will be home for the holidays to greet Terre Haute North Vigo at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Terre Haute North Vigo focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Friday.
