Basketball Recap: Greenville Christian Academy Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Greenville Christian Academy suffered their biggest loss since November 21, 2024 on Thursday. They came up short against the Hilltop Christian Chargers, falling 72-51. The defeat continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Chargers: they've now lost eight in a row.

Despite the loss, Greenville Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Matthew Dove, who went 8 of 15 en route to 25 points. That's the most points Dove has posted since back in November of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Dial, who posted eight points and ten boards.

Caleb Manriquez was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 30 points and nine rebounds for Hilltop Christian. Manriquez has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Joseph McCabe, who made all 6 shots he took for 14 points.

Greenville Christian Academy's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7. As for Hilltop Christian, they pushed their record up to 15-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.
