Knoxville Central will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Hardin Valley Academy at 7:30 PM. Hardin Valley Academy also lit up the scoreboard in their last match, so this could be a high-scoring match.
Knoxville Central made easy work of Sevier County last Friday and carried off a 40-6 win. Knoxville Central's success was spearheaded by the efforts of senior Demetrien Johnson, who rushed for 48 yards and 1 touchdown, and junior Braden Gaston, who punched in 1 rushing TD and snatched 1 receiving TD.
Meanwhile, Hardin Valley Academy was the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. Everything went their way against Heritage as the team secured a 49-0 victory. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-0.
Their wins bumped Hardin Valley Academy to 2-1 and Knoxville Central to 1-2. The Knoxville Central defense had it out for the quarterback last game and accrued 5.5 sacks, so hopefully Hardin Valley Academy's offensive line has put in some good practice this past week in preparation for the contest.
