Volleyball Recap: Wellington Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Wellington waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Mulvane Wildcats by a score of 2-0. The Crusaders were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Wildcats, so the Crusaders were just returning the favor.

Wellington easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-13.

Lyndi Barton paced Wellington's offense, picking up 11 kills. Barton got some help from Addy Schnelle and her 11 assists.

Wellington's win bumped their record up to 21-11. As for Mulvane, their defeat dropped their record down to 22-10.

Wellington wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Clearwater on the 25th. As for Mulvane, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Chapman on the 25th.
