Johnson is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season.
Leading Mercer Christian Academy to victory were Eli Patton and MJ Patton. Patton went 8 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 1 assist, while Patton dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Patton has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Chance Watkins, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Mount View now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Mercer Christian Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-6.
Mount View will be playing at home against Meadow Bridge at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in West Virginia (Meadow Bridge is ranked 117th, while Mount View is ranked 104th). As for Mercer Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Jefferson Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. That game will pit two of the most dominant against one another: Solomon Shirey and Patton.
