Fans got a thrill when MacKenzie Ney and Tanner Miller connected against Camp Hill. The longest such play in Tri-Valley this season, the connection resulted in 58 yards.
East Juniata's David Brantley recorded the longest rushing play in the league this season in his game against Bucktail last week. Brantley scampered for 60 yards on the play and finished with 109 on the day as his team defeated the Bucks.
Hunter Harner was the best running back in the league this week. In 15 carries, he ran for 119 yards as Tri-Valley lost to the Lions. Chase Schaffer also contributed to the rushing game with 24 yards on the ground.
Stephen Sedesse put up the best numbers in passing as Williams Valley defeated Minersville. He finished with 8 completions for 192 yards and 3 touchdowns. Sedesse's favorite target this week was Cody Miller, who caught 3 passes for 77 yards.
Miller was the best wideout in Tri-Valley this week as the Trojans fell to Camp Hill. Miller racked up 9 receptions for 129 yards. Trey Campbell helped Upper Dauphin Area's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 73 yards.
He went 8-12 with 0 interceptions.
Ney was a passing and rushing force as Upper Dauphin Area lost to Frank Gay's team. He completed 14 passes for 241 yards and also ran for 38 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Brent Bell's team's Ney and Miller have proven to be a lethal combination. Ney has thrown for 241 yards this season, while Miller, a 5-foot-6 receiver, has 9 catches for 129 yards. The Bulldogs' Harner leads the league in rushing yards with 119.
Fans will be treated to a premier battle in the secondary when the Trojans' Miller goes up against the Vikings' Matt Miller.
Next week's game between Upper Dauphin Area and Williams Valley will feature a good passing match up as Ney will test his arm against Miller's defensive ability.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Pine Grove takes on Newport. At the moment, the Cardinals are in third, while the Buffaloes are in fourth.
East Juniata was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from 10th to sixth in the league. Earlier in the week, Simon Cameron's team defeated Bucktail 35-6.
