3A District 6 recap October 1, 2013
Solon was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after topping Central Clinton. The Spartans came in at 17 in the state poll after placing at number 33 last week.
Clear Creek-Amana moved up to 156 from 186 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 3A District 6. The Clippers climbed the ranks as a result of topping Fort Madison 28-8.
Anamosa's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Randy VonBehren chipped in 71 yards.
VonBehren provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Raiders fell to Benton.

VonBehren was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 71 yards on 10 carries as Derek Roberts' team fell to Benton. Teammate Ty Houska added to the ground attack by rushing for 37 yards.
Anamosa's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Raiders feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Austin Seehusen has thrown for 33 yards this season, while Justin Buck has 5 catches for 39 yards.
The Raiders' offense has scored 23 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while Solon has allowed only 80 on the year.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Kevin Miller's team takes on Anamosa. The Spartans are currently in first, while the Raiders are in seventh.
Clay Anderson's team took down Anamosa 41-3 last week, the largest margin of any game.
