It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Calexico Bulldogs can now relate to. They received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 37-21 to Escondido. Calexico just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
Escondido found their leader in underclassman Josh Gonzales, who picked up 121 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Calexico has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for Escondido, their win ended a eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-8.
Calexico does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Escondido will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Mount Miguel at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Mount Miguel has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 234 points over their last five games.
