Basketball Recap: Christian Ministries Academy Skates Past Trinity Christian with Ease

Christian Ministries Academy won the last time they faced Trinity Christian and things went their way on Monday too. The Christian Ministries Academy Conquerors simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Trinity Christian Warriors 72-45. The Conquerors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 23 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Christian Ministries Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gavin Hicks, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten boards. Hicks has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 18 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Austin Hicks, who shot 4-for-7 from beyond the arc and almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine assists.

Christian Ministries Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 25 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Christian Ministries Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.4 points per game. As for Trinity Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. As for Trinity Christian, they will face off against Gospel Light Christian at 5:30 p.m. on January 14th.
