The United Faith Christian Academy Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory  and fell  51-50 to Oak City Prep. While losing is never fun, United Faith Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings  (they are ranked 211th, while Oak City Prep is ranked 83rd).
 Several Falcons players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Jada Richardson, who  dropped  a double-double on ten points and 12  rebounds.  Jonnae Bennett was another key contributor,  scoring 11 points along with five  rebounds and three  steals.
 Oak City Prep's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Leia  Rios , who  scored 13 points. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of  Gabby Matthews , who  scored 16 points.
 United Faith Christian Academy has  been struggling recently, as they've  lost six of their last seven contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Oak City Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.
 United Faith Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next  contest is against Wesleyan Christian Academy at 11:55  a.m.  on December 21st. Oak City Prep will be staying on the road  on Thursday to face off against Shining Star Sports Academy at 9:45  a.m.  on December 21st. Shining Star Sports Academy will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
