Hays has gone 8-2 against Great Bend recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Indians will venture away from home to square off against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Hays knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Great Bend likes a good challenge.
15 must be Hays' lucky number: they beat Dodge City with that score not once but twice last Thursday. The Indians didn't even let the Demons on the board, marking the Indians' second-straight 15-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Demons: they've now won nine in a row.
Lanie Becker made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. Becker was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Great Bend earned a 6-2 victory over Northwest on Friday.
Alyssa McCauley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kya Behr, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Katherine Mazouch, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Hays' record is now 3-0. As for Great Bend, their record now sits at 12-3.
Hays might still be hurting after the 13-3 defeat they got from Great Bend when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
