The LaConner Braves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 20 points or more this season. They blew past Concrete 57-29 on the road. With LaConner ahead 30-10 at the half, the game was all but over already.
LaConner found their leader in underclassman Maeve Mccormick, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Mccormick hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Jacqui Lam was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with nine rebounds and three blocks.
LaConner's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Concrete, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
LaConner won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Neah Bay at 1:00 p.m. on January 6th. Neah Bay knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six contests -- so hopefully LaConner likes a good challenge. As for Concrete, they will be playing at home against Mount Vernon Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
