Resurrection Christian stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They blew past Valley 80-15 on the road. That looming 80-15 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Resurrection Christian yet this season.
Resurrection Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Yoder, who scored 14 points along with five assists and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Barker, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Riverdale Ridge put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 72-45 win over Niwot at home. Given Riverdale Ridge's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 39th, while Niwot is ranked 258th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Resurrection Christian's win bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Riverdale Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 12-2.
Resurrection Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Riverdale Ridge in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, winning 57-47. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Riverdale Ridge's Ryan Leopold, who scored 24 points.
