The Lebanon Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt a 72-39 loss at the hands of Kokomo. Lebanon has struggled against Kokomo recently, as their matchup on Saturday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Jack Ferrell and Bryce Jones certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Ferrell scored 15 points, while Jones scored ten points.
Lebanon was without their leading scorer, Kaden Lark, in Saturday's match. With Lark sidelined, Lebanon had to make some changes to the lineup. And.
Kokomo had a senior duo take command as Karson Rogers almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds and Flory Bidunga scored 21 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Bidunga is crushing the block category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Baris Moore, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Kokomo's lineup was just a bit different on Saturday as A'dayveon Young got a bit more time on the court (25 vs. his season average of 10.42). Young made the most of the opportunity, scoring eight points. A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.
Lebanon's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Kokomo, their win was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lebanon has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Tippecanoe Valley at 7:45 p.m. on February 16th. Tippecanoe Valley will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Lebanon surely won't give up without a fight. As for Kokomo, they will be playing at home against Anderson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Anderson is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
