The Mercy Magic will be home for the holidays to greet the Archbishop Spalding Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
Last Wednesday, Mercy was beaten by Pallotti 80-43.
Meanwhile, Archbishop Spalding waltzed into their match Wednesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Our Lady of Mount Carmel by a score of 43-35. 43 seems to be a good number for Archbishop Spalding as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Archbishop Spalding got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Eden Berry out in front who scored 14 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Whitley Watkins, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds.
Mercy's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Archbishop Spalding, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Mercy took their win against Archbishop Spalding in their previous meeting back in February by a conclusive 55-32. Will Mercy repeat their success, or does Archbishop Spalding have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
