The Leggett Pirates stacked a 16th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They claimed a resounding 81-41 win over Zavalla at home. The win was nothing new for Leggett as they're now sitting on six straight.
Leading Leggett to victory were Joshua Perkins and Jace Railey. Perkins scored 30 points, while Railey scored 34 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Railey has scored all season. Joh'Vonn Scott was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Leggett is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 24-7 record this season. As for Zavalla, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 16 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season.
Leggett will head out on the road to face off against Brookeland at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Brookeland is on a nine-game streak of home wins, Leggett a 12-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Zavalla will take on High Island at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
