Ruidoso extended the longest winning streak in 3A District 4 this week by beating Tularosa, 28-24. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Warriors.
Ruidoso and the Wildcats played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Ruidoso eventually emerging with a 28-24 victory. Bryce Pompos threw for 133 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 44 yards in the win.
Kief Johnson's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Devon Carr chipped in 77 yards. Parker Johnson helped Ruidoso's passing attack out by catching three balls for 28 yards.
Ismail LaPaz was the best wideout in the league this week as the Warriors beat Tularosa. LaPaz tallied four receptions for 88 yards.
Ruidoso's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Warriors feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Pompos has thrown for 810 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Johnson has 28 catches for 490 yards. Carr leads the league in rushing with 529 yards.
Ruidoso led the league in scoring this week after putting up 28 points on Bryan Jones' team. Pompos in the win.
