Softball Recap: T.L. Hanna Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

T.L. Hanna had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Andrew Jackson Volunteers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-11 on Saturday.

Madelyn Davis 2030 tossed a big game, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits.

At the plate, Kendall Coakley 2029 was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Meredith Huggins 2026 was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

T.L. Hanna's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Andrew Jackson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. T.L. Hanna will welcome Greenville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
