Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Old Fort's Tenth in Last 12 Outings

Old Fort won the last time they faced Margaretta and Carly Fortney did her part to make sure it happened again. The Stockaders walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Polar Bears on Saturday thanks in part to Fortney, who had 17 digs. She has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Old Fort walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-15, 25-19, 19-25, 25-19.

Margaretta's loss came despite strong showings from Tarah Hershey and Ella Limberios. Hershey had 16 assists and six digs, while Limberios had nine digs and two assists.

Old Fort has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Margaretta, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-14.

Old Fort wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Northwood on the 7th. As for Margaretta, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Huron on the 7th.
