Routt Catholic proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 43) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] Cougars 48-46. Winning may never get old, but the Rockets sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Routt Catholic pushed their record up to 23-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.4 points per game. As for West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs], they moved to 20-5 with that loss, which also ended their nine-game winning streak.

Routt Catholic and West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Routt Catholic will face off against Greenfield/Northwestern at 7:30 p.m. on Friday up 172 places (71 vs. 243). Meanwhile, West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] (ranked 146th) will meet Carrollton (ranked 373rd) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
