Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Perry Panthers walked away with it. They managed a 7-3 win over the Bearcats on Friday. Winning may never get old, but Perry sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
It was another big night for Ahmad Gordon, who rushed for 125 yards and a touchdown.
Perry's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Bainbridge, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-3.
Perry will head out on the road to face off against Stephenson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Stephenson has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 138 points over their last three contests. Bainbridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
