The Velma Jackson Falcons lost against the McAdams Bulldogs on January 9th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Velma Jackson fell 60-50 to McAdams. Velma Jackson has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Falcons players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was J'Ashton Williams, who scored 18 points along with six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Joel Fleming, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Velma Jackson's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-13. As for McAdams, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-6.
Velma Jackson will head out on the road to face off against Noxapater at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McAdams, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against French Camp Academy at 7:30 p.m. French Camp Academy has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 15.
