The Pequea Valley Braves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Millersburg by a score of 49-46. Pequea Valley lost against Millersburg in their previous head to head back in January of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 68-54 score last time.
Kamdyn Heintzelman was his usual excellent self, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds for Millersburg. That makes it three consecutive games in which Heintzelman has scored at least 25% of Millersburg's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Colt Bellis, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds.
Pequea Valley now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Millersburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-7 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pequea Valley will challenge Lancaster Mennonite at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Millersburg will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Line Mountain at 7:30 a.m. on January 4th.
