Baseball Recap: Hagerty Picks Up Sixth Straight Win on the Road

Lake Brantley typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Hagerty proved too difficult a challenge. They put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 10-3 win. The Huskies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by seven runs or more this season.

M. Murray Jr. and J. Copeland did most of the damage at the plate: Murray Jr. scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Copeland scored a run while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance also gave Copeland a new career-high in RBI (three). A. Kearney was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

They weren't the only one making solid contact: Hagerty kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lake Brantley only managed six hits.

Hagerty's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-2-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Lake Brantley, their loss dropped their record down to 14-6-1.

Looking ahead, Hagerty will head out to square off against Lyman at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lake Brantley, they will welcome Winter Park at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight.
