Livingston is 8-2 against Pacheco since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Livingston Wolves are on the road again and play against the Pacheco Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on December 13th. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Saturday, Livingston was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 69-63 to Kimball. While losing is never fun, Livingston can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1155th, while Kimball is ranked 540th).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jayshaan Bains, who scored 19 points. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for he. Imanol Gutierrez was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Meanwhile, Pacheco entered their tilt with Le Grand with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Pacheco put the hurt on Le Grand with a sharp 60-37 victory on Tuesday. Considering Pacheco has won three matchups by more than 22 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Livingston's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Pacheco, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1.
Livingston beat Pacheco 55-45 in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Livingston since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
