Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Service). They were the clear victor by a 71-48 margin over the Barrow Whalers on Thursday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Cougars with their most commanding win of the season.

Despite the loss, Barrow saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Alex Fruean posted 26 points. That was a full 54.2% of Barrow's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's had more than a third of the team's points.

The victory was the third in a row for Service, bringing their record for this year to 3-1. Admittedly, the team didn't face the toughest opposition across those games, namely Barrow, West Valley, and Barrow. As for Barrow, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Service has already played their next match, a 65-53 defeat against West Valley on the 10th. As for Barrow, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 53-50 loss against Bartlett on the 10th.
