Columbia has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Eau Claire Shamrocks at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in South Carolina (Columbia is ranked 191st, while the Shamrocks are ranked 186th).
Columbia played against the War Eagles and lost via forfeit.
Eau Claire has not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They strolled past Fairfield Central with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 58-42.
Eau Claire's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Aric Hicks, who scored 16 points, and Asa Price, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hicks has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aden Price, who scored eight points.
Columbia has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season. As for Eau Claire, their win bumped their record up to 6-16.
Columbia didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against the Shamrocks when the teams last played back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 60-56 win. Does Columbia have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Shamrocks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
