The Carver Tigers will be playing at home against the Thomasville Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Carver fought the good fight in their overtime match against Dougherty on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 67-66 to the Trojans. Carver has not had much luck with Dougherty recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Tony Montgomery, who scored 21 points along with three steals. He hasn't dropped below 15 points for nine straight games. Tobiaz Tolbert was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Thomasville can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 61-40 margin over Crisp County.
Carver's defeat dropped their record down to 19-4. As for Thomasville, their win bumped their record up to 6-17.
