Football Recap: Western Alamance Takes a Loss

Western Alamance dropped down to 7-2 on Friday, ending the team's seven-game streak of wins. They were beaten by the Williams Bulldogs 49-21. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.

Ethan Oakley threw for 177 yards and two TDs. Colten Hill was his top target, picking up 120 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. On the ground, Jordan Hall rushed for 96 yards and one score.

As for Williams, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.3 points over those games.

It was another big night for Amarion Richmond, who rushed for 101 yards and four scores. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 100 rushing yards. Kyrian Fuller was another key player, throwing for 276 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Western Alamance will venture away from home to take on Southern Alamance at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will need to watch out since the Patriots have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests. As for Williams, they are taking a road trip to face off against Person at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will be up against the Rockets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30.11 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
