Make it five blowout wins for the NCSSM: Durham Unicorns this season. They blew past East Wake Academy 63-19 on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-13.
Reese Butler and Emma Roche certainly did their best on Monday to try and avoid the loss. Butler scored eight points, while Roche scored eight points. That was a full 42.1% of East Wake Academy's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
NCSSM: Durham now has a winning record of 8-7. As for East Wake Academy, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
NCSSM: Durham won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Raleigh Charter at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. As for East Wake Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Research Triangle at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Research Triangle and three for East Wake Academy.
