Armwood came tearing into Friday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.7 goals) and they left with even more momentum. Their defense stepped up to hand the Blake Yellow Jackets a 10-0 shutout. Considering the Hawks have won five games by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Armwood is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 37 goals over those six matchups. As for Blake, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

Armwood will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on East Bay at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. East Bay's last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Blake, they will head out on the road to square off against Alonso at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Alonso's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Blake's offense will have their work cut out for them.
