The North Florida Christian Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the St. Johns Country Day Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (North Florida Christian 3.9, St. Johns Country Day 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
North Florida Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over St. John Paul II. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

At the plate, Kyle Estimond was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. He is becoming a predictor of North Florida Christian's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 9-16 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Caden Cooper, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Johns Country Day). Their pitcher stepped up to hand Covenant School of Jacksonville a 15-0 shutout on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won ten matches by six runs or more so far this season.
Madden Williams made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
In other batting news, Preston Cole was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. TJ Sunderhaus was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs and three RBI.
St. Johns Country Day always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .645. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
St. Johns Country Day is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for North Florida Christian, their record is now 12-16.
North Florida Christian couldn't quite finish off St. Johns Country Day in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 and fell 8-6. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
