Blanchard's Braden Stringer recorded the longest rushing play in 3A District 1 this season in his game against Bridge Creek last week. Stringer scampered for 96 yards on the play and finished with 250 on the day as his team topped the Bobcats.
Blanchard added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Bridge Creek, 54-0. The win marks fifth in a row for the Jeff Craig's team.
The Lions' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Brett Owen threw for 40 and 1 touchdown and Ashton Yeargin had 40 yards receiving. On the ground Stringer chipped in 250 yards. David Ummel helped Blanchard's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 14 yards.

Jones's Clayton Sims and Levi Fox have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Sims has thrown for 859 yards this season, while Fox has 19 catches for 241 yards. The Lions' Stringer leads the league in rushing yards with 1,093.
