Savannah Christian extended the longest winning streak in A Region 3A this week by beating Jenkins County, 42-12. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Raiders.
Calvary Day moved up to 141 from 183 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Cavaliers were able to make move up by topping Claxton 49-12.
Savannah Country Day's Heys McMath and Ben Johnson have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. McMath has thrown for 1204 yards this season, while Johnson has 61 catches for 695 yards. Jake Clemens from Calvary Day leads the league in rushing with 667 yards.
A big matchup in A Region 3A this week will be when the Cavaliers take on Portal. At the moment, Calvary Day is in first, while the Panthers are in sixth.
The Cavaliers led the league in scoring this week after putting up 49 points on the Tigers.
