Wheaton Academy will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Thursday, then bounced right back against Sandwich on Saturday. The Warriors blew past the Indians 15-2. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Wheaton Academy got a great performance from Charlie Scherer as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Scherer also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Warriors are 5-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 9-11 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Jackson From was a standout: he went 4-for-6 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted over his last 13 contests. Another player making a difference was Dom Murrell, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Wheaton Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Chicago Christian came out on top against Marian Central Catholic on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run third inning. The Knights took their game against the Hurricanes 7-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.
Chicago Christian let Micah Buikema and Rafe Slager run wild. Buikema went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double, while Slager went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Wheaton Academy's victory bumped their record up to 14-12. As for Chicago Christian, their win bumped their record up to 15-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Wheaton Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Chicago Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Wheaton Academy took their victory against Chicago Christian when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-5 score. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
