Washougal's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mather Minnis, who almost dropped a triple-double on 11 points, 11 rebounds, and nine steals. That's the first time this season that Minnis pulled down eight or more rebounds. Holden Bea was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Washougal's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Fort Vancouver, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost ten of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.
Washougal won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Union at 1:00 p.m. on January 27th. Union has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
