A Season-Best Performance from Austin Gautier Leads Nelsonville-York over Vinton County
On Friday, Nelsonville-York got the W thanks in part to Austin Gautier playing the best football he has all season. Gautier rushed for 163 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

River Valley's probably not too fond of Pero given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Pero saw the Raiders), he rushed for 137 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.6 yards per carry.

Anthony Sutton's big game helped extend Athens's winning streak to nine on Friday. River Valley had no answer to Sutton as he rushed for 59 yards and two touchdowns.
On the season, Sutton has averaged 22.8 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 12.22 receiving yards per game.
