The Happy Camp Indians lost to the Tulelake Honkers back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. Happy Camp walked away with a 50-37 win over Tulelake. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Happy Camp.
Happy Camp found their leader in underclassman Jean Wright, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Wright is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Trevor Johnson-Conrad, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Happy Camp's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 25.3 points. As for Tulelake, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season.
Happy Camp will be playing at home against Butte Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Butte Valley will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Happy Camp surely won't give up without a fight. As for Tulelake, they will head out on the road to face off against Big Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in California (Big Valley is ranked 1296th, while Tulelake is ranked 1285th).
