Las Plumas is a perfect 4-0 against Durham since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Las Plumas Thunderbirds will be playing at home against the Durham Trojans at 3:30 p.m. Las Plumas will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Las Plumas made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Marysville, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Las Plumas was the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over Marysville on Monday. Considering the Thunderbirds have won four contests by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Kyler Storey was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Storey was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, Brooklyn Atteberry was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kendal Headley, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Las Plumas always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .677. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Durham's offense. They lost 11-0 to River Valley on Friday. The loss was the Trojans' first of the season.
Las Plumas' victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to strikeouts: they averaged an imposing 8.29 strikeouts in those games compared to only three in the others. As for Durham, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Las Plumas has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Durham struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Las Plumas' way against Durham in their previous meeting back in March of 2018, as Las Plumas made off with a 12-0 win. Will Las Plumas repeat their success, or does Durham have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
