Despite the defeat, Liberty saw an underclassman step up: Shania Brown dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. Brown is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least ten every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Annabelle Whorley, who scored 12 points.
Jefferson Forest is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Liberty, their loss dropped their record down to 12-4.
Jefferson Forest will head out on the road to face off against the Hilltoppers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Liberty, they will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
