The Mayer Wildcats lost to the Antelope Rams back in December of 2022, but the Mayer Wildcats didn't allow the Antelope Rams the same satisfaction on Tuesday. Mayer claimed a resounding 67-14 victory over Antelope at home. The win made it back-to-back wins for Mayer.
Danni McCann was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 34 points, 10 rebounds, and 17 steals. That makes it ten consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Mayer's points. Another player making a difference was Larissa Dodge, who scored 12 points along with 5 assists.
Mayer's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3-1. As for Antelope, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mayer will face off against Seligman at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Seligman comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Antelope, they will head out on the road to face off against Bagdad at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bagdad is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
