Shields was led to victory by Jalance Kimbrough and Dante Leffall. Kimbrough scored 15 points along with five assists, while Leffall scored 16 points. The game was Kimbrough's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrian Watts, who scored six points along with six rebounds.
Shields is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Southside, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
Shields will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Highland Home at 7:00 p.m. on December 22nd. One thing working in Highland Home's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four games. Southside will be home for the holidays to greet Andalusia at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Andalusia presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Southside in Alabama (Andalusia is ranked 63rd, while Southside is ranked 308th).
