William Mellott had an outrageously good game as he shot 55% from beyond the arc en route to 21 points in addition to six boards and five steals. Those six rebounds gave him a new career-high. Tippecanoe Valley was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Peru only racked up nine.

Perhaps the best among those players was Reis Bellar, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Bellar continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Dawsen Babbs also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.
Tippecanoe Valley's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Peru, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Looking ahead, Tippecanoe Valley will finish 2025 at home by hosting Rochester at 7:30 p.m. on the 27th. As for Peru, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 66-57 victory against Lewis Cass on the 20th.
