The Northeast/Northwest College Prep Panthers took care of business in their home opener on Thursday. They came out on top against World of Inquiry by a score of 63-52. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Northeast/Northwest College Prep also won the last time the pair played back in January.
World of Inquiry's loss came despite strong showings from Jaedon Adams and Yacoub Tarawally. Adams scored 26 points along with six rebounds, while Tarawally scored 17 points along with eight rebounds. Adams scored a full 50% of World of Inquiry's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
World of Inquiry struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Northeast/Northwest College Prep's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-0. As for World of Inquiry, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Northeast/Northwest College Prep won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Wilson Magnet at 6:15 p.m. on December 15th. World of Inquiry will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Midlakes at 5:30 p.m. on December 28th.
