The Fort Collins Lambkins won against the Fossil Ridge SaberCats last Friday with 65 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Fort Collins enjoyed a cozy 65-50 win over the SaberCats. The victory was nothing new for Fort Collins as they're now sitting on three straight.
Fort Collins' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Avery Alcaraz led the charge by scoring 17 points along with two steals. Jocelyn Kramar was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Despite the loss, Fossil Ridge had strong showings from Carmen Arkin, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds, and Gianna Leone, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Fort Collins pushed their record up to 14-3 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.6 points per game. As for Fossil Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fort Collins will take on the Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Mountain Range is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak. As for Fossil Ridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hawks at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Horizon knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully the SaberCats like a good challenge.
