After losing to the Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot Knights the last time they met, the Grove Christian School Falcons decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Grove Christian School managed a 31-27 win over Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Grove Christian School.
Grove Christian School got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ore Oyefuga out in front who scored five points along with five assists and four blocks. That's the first time this season that Oyefuga posted two or more blocks. Ana Roe Brown was another key contributor, scoring four points along with 11 rebounds and five blocks.
When it comes to explaining why Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot lost, one person who can't be blamed is Charlie Potter. Despite the final result, she scored nine points along with 11 rebounds and three steals.
Grove Christian School now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.
Grove Christian School will be playing at home against The Carmel School at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Brunswick Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Brunswick Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
