Basketball Game Preview: Ball Tornadoes vs. Santa Fe Indians

The Ball Tornadoes will face off against the Santa Fe Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Ball is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 92-38 win over Texas City. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Tornadoes as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Ball got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kalyn Toussaint out in front who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 11 assists. That's the most points Toussaint has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Braeon Arceneaux, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten rebounds.

Toussaint wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Ball was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Santa Fe, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past Texas City 76-33 on Friday. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 588th, while the Stingarees are ranked 1265th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Santa Fe's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-13. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.2 points per game. As for Ball, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-13.
