The South River Rams won the last time they faced the Highland Park Owls, and things went their way on Saturday too. South River blew past Highland Park, posting a 76-43 victory on the road. The victory made it back-to-back wins for South River.
Alex Grospe was his usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 24 points, 16 assists, and 12 steals. He has been hot recently, having posted 22 or more points the last eight times he's played. Eddie Herrera was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
South River now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Highland Park, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.
South River didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-42 victory vs. East Brunswick on the 12th. Highland Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
