The Pitman Pride won the last time they faced the Enochs Eagles, and things went their way on Monday too. Pitman strolled past Enochs with points to spare, taking the game 71-54. Given Pitman's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 250th, while Enochs is ranked 668th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Justin Anderson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 28 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Avery Sanchez was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds.
Pitman is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. As for Enochs, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-16.
Pitman will be playing at home against Gregori at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Pitman knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matches -- so hopefully Gregori likes a good challenge. As for Enochs, they will head out on the road to square off against Downey at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Downey is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52.7 points per game this season.
