Baseball Recap: North Hills Christian Comes Up Short

North Hills Christian lost against Hickory Christian Academy back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. North Hills Christian took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hickory Christian Academy. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

North Hills Christian saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dusty Morgan, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. Those five RBI gave Morgan a new career-high. Another was Chris Barringer, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

North Hills Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. Hickory Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-2.

North Hills Christian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-2 victory against Statesville Christian on the 25th. As for Hickory Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 13-4 win against Westminster Catawba Christian on the 25th.
